A youtube video filmed in Sydney, Australia in 2010 and discovered on the internet is restaged on a Brooklyn
rooftop., The eerily human sound of ravens mourning the dying of one of their flock is intercut with a live performance of 9 dancers uttering similar cries, as if re-enacting a raven funeral. A single street in suburban Sydney appears alongside a New York City landscape. The 9 rooftop characters are, in part, inspired by God’s Gardeners, characters in Margaret Atwood’s science fiction trilogy MadAdam. (The center panel of a three channel projection.)
